Yeibechai Navajo Rug
This 1970's Navajo Yeibichai Rug. You have the 10 blue masked dancers each dancing with a rattle, cedar branch, and medicine bag. They are sporting concho belts with turquoise. The elevated foot lets you know they are dancing. The Yei is the Diety, always forward facing. He is holding a weasel. I truly don't know why. I've been told the figure on the opposite side is a fellow who brings comic relief as this ceremony can go on for 10 days. This is a very special rug.
